Hello everyone. First of all I’d like to say thanks for all the comments about the site, I wasn’t expecting so many nice words. Thank you! :)
Now, what will happen to the site… we are going to be going on a trial period. My friend Pat — who runs lj.com/thesameband — will be helping me with future news updates and we’ll see how that goes. Even though I’ve wanted to end the site a few times it’s really hard to let go and do it, or to bring someone else into something you’ve created. I’ve known Pat for some time and honestly she was the only option. I’m hoping with her help things will get a little easier for me, especially when I’m expecting to be busy in the next few months. I will still be in charge of everything else, so bear with me when it comes to updating pictures — managing a website isn’t as simple as copy/paste.
Some things are changing though. The forum is gone, sorry to the users but after that major crash a couple of years ago it was never the same. Twitter updates will remain the same, mostly appearances and tour dates announcements. Tumblr is not really a hassle to update since we use a script that does it automatically but I’m not too fond of it, I’m not sure about its future yet.
Now, facebook. I put up a poll asking about your opinion on facebook updates, we have over 1,800 fans there please take a moment to vote. (VOTE HERE) I kind of want to stop updating it but if people actually like the feature I’ll start doing the most relevant updates. And hopefully one day I’ll stop adding features that will make my life more difficult.
Leave your thoughts and opinions on this post’s comments. And let’s all welcome Pat!
Hey guys, the site is going on a hiatus while a decision is made about its future. Recently I’ve been wanting to close it so instead of going ahead and doing it I’ve decided to take a little break and see what comes of it. We have been online non-stop for almost five years and although fans do contribute with material sometimes, essentially it’s only me working on it.
There’s a lot of reasons behind this decision, it has nothing to do with my personal feelings towards the band. I don’t know how long the hiatus will last until a decision is made (one month at the most?). I don’t even know if I can go without updating — I’ll definitely break my self-imposed rule if something of importance happens.
I hope to have an answer soon, I’ll keep you updated. See ya!
As promised, the letters from fans Zenith was collecting have been given to Brendon during her meet & greet on June 2nd. The great response was unexpected so she ended up binding the letters together in book format. Read below for her account of the m&g.

Unfortunately Spencer was exhausted and under the weather from water skiing the day before and was not able to make an appearance at the m&g, but as soon as I showed Brendon the book he was intrigued. As I told him how the concept came about and how the letters were collected he started flipping through the book and skimmed over the pages looking at where the letters came from. He turned to one and said “Oh, Canada!” which was ironic because that was the letter from my friend who started this whole idea. I told him I had received letters from fans in Brazil, Argentina, Poland, Germany, Australia and other over the world. He flipped to the introduction page and saw Zenith Haas at the end of the note and looked at me and asked “That’s you?!” I smiled and replied “Yep!” He smile saying “That’s awesome! Nice job!” and gave me a high five. He was so amazed to see how many letters the book contained – over 80!
My friend Holly who started the letter idea saw them in Detroit last night and was able to meet Brendon and Spencer after the show and they said they have been reading the letters in between stops.– Zenith Haas
Thank you everyone who participated! She was happy to do something nice for other fans and that’s always good to see. :)
˜˜˜Reminder – Originally posted on 5/17.
One of our readers, Zenith H., has generously offered to bring letters from fellow P!ATD Online visitors to the band when she meets them next month. She says, “I think it would be great to show Panic! how much the ‘members’ of P!ATD Online care about them and do not necessarily have to be in Northern Downpour.”
If you would like to participate and send Brendon and Spencer (Dallon and Ian) a letter or a note feel free to send it to zenithhaas@hotmail.com with Letters to Panic! in the subject line. Her meet & greet will be on June 2nd, the deadline to submit your message is May 31st.
We are not directly involved in this project, if you have any questions contact Zenith at the email address above.
Think twice before including personal information such as phone numbers and addresses in these letters. Even though the purpose of the project is to have the band read them they will not personally contact you and that information might eventually fall into the wrong hands. We are NOT responsible for any content you might include in your letter.
Zenith asked me to tell fans who submitted their letters using email addresses from foreign countries and did not get a reply to please resubmit them. Some of them were going straight to her spam folder and getting deleted without her noticing. Everything sent from today on is ok but the ones from before today might have gotten deleted, so once again, if you did not get a reply from her please resubmit. This is only for addresses from other countries — ie: .co.uk, .au and such.

We have a new layout! I hope you all like it as much as I do. (If you can’t see if refresh your page.)
