I made captures from the Fever DVD. There’s no excuse for the year and a half delay, except that I absolutely hate making captures and kept putting it off. I have also scanned the CD booklet and the Collector’s Box. I know no one needs these anymore – uhm, sorry? But they needed to be up before Pretty. Odd.‘s.

They’ve never played a house as big as the 23,000-seat Marcus Amphitheater, but there are no signs of panic yet in Panic! At the Disco.
Panic! At the Disco have been on hiatus so they can huddle in the studio to craft their follow-up to their platinum debut “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.”
Signed by Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, the Las Vegas-based band found themselves with a major label deal before they had even played their first gig. In classic rock folklore fashion, Wentz signed the band after seeing them play in their garage.
“Fever” was released in the fall of 2005 and the video for “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” became a breakout hit in early 2006, eventually going on to take the Video of the Year Award at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. The band gained further momentum working the road with The Academy Is . . . on the Truckstops and Statelines Tour. Read the full article »
Panic! at the Disco’s guitarist Ryan Ross says that last year’s Summerfest was one of the best shows the group has ever played. It’s a good thing, too, since the festival atmosphere and legions of fans had the band battling nerves before taking the stage.
Around that time, the band’s single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” had blown up on radio, its video was in heavy rotation on MTV and VHI and the band was in the midst of its three month headlining, cross-country summer tour.
Now a year later, Panic! at the Disco has been upgraded from the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage to the Marcus Amphitheater. Unlike last summer, however, things have been fairly quiet for the Las Vegas natives recently.
“We haven’t even played a show for three or four months now, so we’re all kind of anxious to get out there,” Ross says of playing Summerfest. “We’ve played in Milwaukee four or five times now, and every time it gets better and better.” Read the full article »

Panic! At The Disco are to release a digital only single next month. ‘Build God, Then We’ll Talk’, out March 26, is taken from the band’s 2006 debut ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’.
The single will be available from all online retailers. However, if purchased through a direct site buyers will be directed to a private Panic holding page, where they will have the chance to view up to date information, live footage, pictures and the chance to download more material from the band’s label Fueled By Ramen.

Whether you’ll like Panic! At The Disco’s most recent single really depends on your feelings towards American emo-pop. For instance, if you enjoy listening to My Chemical Romance, then you’ll probably absolutely love ‘Build God, Then We’ll Talk’, but if your tastes stretch more to Renee Fleming, best steer clear, for this is utterly typical Panic!, and that’s no bad thing.
Panic! do story-telling at its best, thanks in no small part to the heavily accented lead vocals of Brendan Urie, who draws you into their world, similarly to the rather wonderful Gerard Way – who Urie is no doubt sick of being compared to!
There’s some great layering, wonderful violin backing and occasional crescendoing sound stabs from the rest of the band during ‘Build God, Then We’ll Talk’, and as well as that, the twisting of ‘Favourite Things’ from the Sound of Music is extremely clever and subtle. ‘Raindrops on roses/And girls in white dresses/Sleeping with roaches,” whines Urie to great effect as the track concludes. Not quite Julie Andrews, is it?
