okay, so this past week has been quite a mess. First we missed boise due to bad weather,everyone else missed seattle because of bad weather, our van died,and we missed salt lake city.We appologize for all of this,we’ll make it up to you all asap.We got ourselves a new van in hopes of preventing to many heavy breakdowns from now on.

We just wanted to give a quick thank you to everybody who came out early and supported us on The Nintendo Fusion Tour. You all amazed us every night. As you know, our December shows are coming up, and all but a couple are sold out.

If you didn’t get a chance to get tickets to those shows or the NFT shows, we wanted to give you a heads up that tickets to our February/March tour with The Academy Is…, Acceptance and Hellogoodbye go on sale tomorrow (November 29th) at 10am. day six of truckstops and statelines. i’ve never had so much fun on a tour, tomorrow we will be in providence, and hopefully will have a glorious reunion with our boys in treos.they just shot a new video so be on the lookout for that. I’ve started playing black mamba with the academy, mike and sisky get super dirty on stage. i’m just trying to hang..also we may or may not be working on an extra special cover involving both bands on the stage at one time…

on another note i just wanted to talk for a moment about all the things that have been happening with the band recently, and i’ve felt a bit of backlash and just wanted to tell you the truth about things. first of all, we were #10 on trl because of you, and nothing else. we never intended to be on the countdown, and were actually more against the idea of it than for it.we never posted on our website, or anywhere else for that matter, asking you to vote for us,but we were flattered that you guys took time and voted for us anyways, i think it set some kind of record, that it was the first time that a band on an indie label as small as fbr had an artist on the trl countdown, definitely shook things up a bit. #2 i’ve heard that we PAID our way onto trl, which could quite possibly be the greatest waste of money our band could make, and also one that would never happen.#3 we are doing our best to come out and meet everyone at these shows, but it’s just not possible to meet everyone. we’re sorry, but i can gaurantee that if you stop by the merch table after the show you’ll be able to find at least one of us there.

it’s been a while. i’ve been pretty busy lately working on suprises for our headlining tour, whatever you expect it to be right now, think the opposite.shooting a new video soon also, so look for that soon-ish.found out that we are in a great little mag called “J14″ i’m sure you all are just as excited as we are about that one.unfortunately those kind of things are out of our hands, we don’t have to give permission to them to put us in there..at least we aren’t stickers.or maybe that would be awesome? fun fact of the day.i haven’t shaved in a week or so, and i got a new razor today, and managed to shave my entire face.almost. it died before i could get the stache.pretty much sums me up right there.

we like the boys with the bullet proof vests. we like the girls with the cellophane chests.

Well well well. We’ve stirred up some controversy now haven’t we? In regards to our headlining tour this summer with The Dresden Dolls..we could’t be more excited, and from the look of things many people are thinking the exact opposite. We feel this could be a great thing for both bands if you let it be. All I’m asking here is that you give it a shot. From the start we (panic) have had labels attached to us, along with assumptions of who we are how we think, what we care about, and what we aspire to be etc. so when it came time for us to plan our headlining tour we decided to do things our way, and on our own terms.I promise you, this show will not be like what you’re used to going to see. And if you’ve seen us perform before, I urge you to come out and see us on this tour. We’re finally able to do what we’ve been wanting to do live since we started this band.. and we’d love to play for as many people as possible. This definitely won’t be what has been considered to be an “ordinary” panic show. We are honored that the support bands we’ve asked to do the tour accepted, we’re really looking forward to you guys hearing some artists that you may not have had the opportunity to hear or see live up until now.So please, do yourselves a favor and get to these shows early, you really don’t want to miss these other acts.This has been the first time we’ve gotten to choose who we are going out with, and hopefully it will feel like home.

06.10.2006 – the hush sound is soooooweeeet.

dear panic website visitors,
welcome to the new online home. right now i am sitting next to ryan and brendon, bob from the hush sound is here with us but he hit brendon in the eye during a vicious basketball tournament featuring members from both bands, so he is busy giving us foot rubs. we want to thank everyone who helped us kick off the tour in arizona, i hope you had as much fun as we did. we are doing a few radio shows in california this weekend, but we get to continue the tour on tuesday in las vegas. we also went to the store and bought a bunch of new movies to watch so we will be very busy over the next few weeks! for those of you that are planning to come see us on this tour, be ready for an eventful night, we cant wait to see you. hope you enjoy the new site, we will be writting in our journal frequently so check back. and on a personal note, thank all of you for the warm welcome, its greatly appreciated.

good day internet family. we have realized that a few options on our website are currently innactive including the photo album and book club. please sit tight, we are working on getting everything up shortly. we just got done playing in new mexico. we had an outstanding time and met a bunch of great people outside after the show. we are so happy to share this tour with all of you. right now, ryan, spencer and i are in the back lounge of our bus listening to third eye blind and talking about music we enjoy. on a side note, i finally obtained my first IPOD. i feel like a new person, i can fall asleep happily, listening to my favorite tunes now. we play oklahoma city tomarrow, i hope they are ready for 3 pretty alright bands to hang out with them tomarrow. as for right now, im very sleepy. i am going to sleep, see you guys soonly.

it’s been a storm for 17 days. everywhere we go, it rains. i feel like it’s going to follow us around the whole tour, trying to ruin what we’ve got, but it can’t. its too good, it’s a pretty amazing feeling knowing that these shows are truly ours, and you’re all there to see us this time. I remember a year ago when we were just starting to write all of these songs you’re singing along to now, and i never thought we’d be able to be doing what we are now.I just wanted to say thank you.we’re not you’re average band, we’ve got big ideas and we love sharing them with you, trust me, it’s just the beginning.

06.21.2006 – st. petersburg – supergrass

my mother has just informed me that we havent made a journal entry in the past couple days, so everyone thank her for being on top of things for us since we so busy on the road. atlanta, ga… you were incredible. st. petes, lets hang out tonite. we have all caught up on some much needed sleep. the past few days were pretty busy. we had to fly to la early on monday. im not sure if i can tell you exactly what we did yet, so i wont to be safe. heres a few hints though.. it involves fish, the ocean and one of our songs. after la we flew to ATL for a show last night which was so fun, the tabernacle is a beautiful venue and georgia has raised beautiful people. on another note, some of our crew members visited paul walls studio the other day. if you dont know who that is, he makes “grills” for all the famous rappers you see on mtv. to say the least, our crew looks pretty awesome nowadays. besides that, nothing else is new, just having fun and excited to see you guys in the upcomming weeks. ryan is doing a phone interview in his underwear next to me right now. on that note, im going outside to play. bye friends.

06.29.2006 – it reminds me that its not so bad.. not so bad.

good evening family.
how everything going? were doing great. just finished up the shows in new york city, they were alot of fun. we were really busy in nyc. we hosted t minus rock for mtv2, that will be airing sometime in mid july. we also had to do a photoshoot for blender magazine, im not too sure what that was for but im sure you guys will see it sooner or later. we also recently purchased a play station 2 and the game guitar hero. everyone is addicted. i suggest everyone to play it with your friends, its a lot of fun. the photo album is up on the website too! i uploaded photos i took from may, the june section will be up at the end of the month. tour is going amazing, the dresden dolls just started the tour with us and they are one of the most talented bands you will ever see live. expect what you dont expect, you will be blown away. the hush sound is doing awesome too, were one big happy family. its adorable. time for much needed sleep. see you soon.

07.03.2006 – theres a beautiful sky tonite

good day friends. there is something about music in the summer that makes me realize what is important and what is not. not even playing, but listening to music with the windows down, it makes you feel free from any problem you have. there is also another feeling i have currently. its that feeling you get when you haven’t been home in awhile and you get to see it on friday. things are good. we have a day off in boston today, i hear the seafood is good. i am sitting on the bed writing to you guys, my girlfriend is sitting next to me coloring. im also getting together photos from june to upload today so check those out. im going to set up a section on the photo album so you guys can send me pictures that you took with us or at a show and ill put the best ones in the album, so watch for that too. we have had such a great response to the shows so far, were so happy you guys have enjoyed it. for the rest of you that we are coming to visit, see you soon!

these are some of the fine laws in New Hampshire.

there is a frame hanging in the dressing room that has many facts about this place, and there is even a map in which it shows where we are. which is nice to know for a change, i vote that everywhere we play should have these facts hanging in the dressing rooms.
Yesterday we had a day off in Boston, we did a little shopping, and I went to Amanda Dresden Dolls apartment last night. It’s a pretty spectacular apartment,with a tree in the middle of the third floor that you have to climb to get to a loft that leads to the roof. It reminds me of the lost boys or something. For those of you who haven’t been to any of the shows yet i really must encourage you to get there early to watch the opening bands… I do.

07.10.2006 – and we say goodbye, and go underground

good evening. the day is monday. we have a day off today, we are in the great MI. i am hanging in a hotel room watching everybody loves raymond. all the other boys went to see pirates, i havent really seen the first one so i didnt feel like the second one was worth watching just yet.. yes, ive been called a fool, but i dont like it. after they are done were going to eat food and go swimming, its going to be a grrrrrreeeat time! chicago, my homeland, you were outstanding. i cant wait to be back. for those who came to summerfest, sorry it was so crowded, but thank you for coming and suppoting us. merchdan finally got a sidekick today. spencer has a bruise on his head from a drum stick. brendon took his curtain back from my bunk, ryan bought a hat for 5 dollars, i had the best sandwich from panera bread, it was a new veggie one. mmmm mmmm. we might go bowling tonite, gotta go stretch, bye pals

07.15.2006 – im not ready for some burned down bridges yet

its saturday, i hope everyone is out at the beach soaking in summer and not reading our website right now. either way, how are you? im good, we just got into canada, i had some chick peas, they were incredible. back to my first point, i really hope everyone is enjoying themselves. summer is one of the most important things in the world. i miss being at home with friends and hanging out and playing catch, but getting to travel around with some of my best friends and hang out with you guys makes it all fine. there is a water park next to the venue today, so tempting. there is also a lake and boats keep going by and i want to go for a ride. maybe later. im sitting in the catering room because we dont get internet in the dressing room and i like people watching, and there are alot of people around here to watch. i see that every time we post a journal entry that it gets posted in the livejournal communited (yeah we stalk, so what). i think its good that there is a place our family can go to talk about really anything they want. congradulations :) and i also want to personally thank everyone who has made coming into this band so welcoming for me. i love you. so heres alittle livejournal discussion topic we can start, and please keep it clean and friendly.. what do you guys think about everything going on with war and politics right now? will anybody admit to not paying attention to any of it? i know most people i talk to dont even know whats going on these days. i dont know as much as i definatly wish i did, but its important stuff that changes all our lives and our futures. comments? thoughts?

08.12.2006 – the embers never fade in the city by the lake

aye mate.. we are home, the summer tour is over, and with all of your help, it was the best summer of our lives. we are home for about 10 days before we embark overseas to the wonderful united kingdom to play some shows with some great bands. ive been catching up on laundry and great chicago mexican food. ryan brendon and spencer are in vegas practicing daily there summer 16 inch soft ball league. their first game is coming up soon so well get you all the details on how it turns out. we are also smoothing out all the plans for our vma performance on august 31st, i hope you guys have been voting. i hear if we win an award we also receive a years supply of gushers fruit snacks, so… you know.. go vote. NOW. that is all for now, sorry for lack of update but hey, were on vacation! see you soonly.

as i sit next to my friend jon walker, listening to some mediocre tunes, i realize i havent posted a band-journal yet and figured my time has come.

we are backstage at civic hall in wolverhampton – a city outside of london. had a good day off yesterday in downtown london. watched some of our favorite bands and felt inspired.

watched magnolia with ross. felt worn out afterwards. ate some pretty bad food, then just ate pringles and chocolate to make up for it.
now we countdown to the time when we will play and all will join us in jovial song.

hey everyone. im sitting in our hotel in NY getting ready to go eat with the boys. just got back from europe this morning, were all pretty sleepy. so im going to make this pretty short because im starving. we spend the next few days practicing and doing stuff for vma’s and then thursday is the show. as you all know we were nominated for a few awards, so if you want to see us say stuff on TV, then goto FBRBVOTE.com. we need all the votes we can so break all your plans. besides that we have just released the tour dates for our fall headlining tour. be prepared to be blown away from all the tricks and treats we are planning. more on all that later. for now its VMA season.

were alive! how are you guys! im doing awesome. my laptop is getting fixed right now, im updating with my mothers computer (thank you mom, your the best). when my laptop gets back i have some pictures to post on the website from our europe trip. im afraid im not going to have any pictures for september since were all relaxing and being boring, sooo.. if you guys start a live journal thread and post your own panic related pictures in the comments, ill pick 20 of them for the september photo album. weeee! just please keep one main thread, maybe even with this journal entry as the first post. and please, panic related and nothing that you wouldnt want your parents to see. besides all that. 09.10.2006 – everybody knows where this is heading

Dear You,
First and foremost,We took everyone by suprise, good job on turning some heads our way. I think there is something to be said about a video winning video of the year on a budget that was about as much as catering costs for all the other videos we were up against.And I think a large part of it was your support since we began, you all have forced people to pay attention.We truly appreciate every second you spent whispering our name in someone’s ear or voting all night long. thank you.

while we are home we are still busy as bees.Many exciting things are coming in the near future, planning this next tour, planning the final video..and also we’re putting together something special that we hope will be out around xmas, it will be a look into this band and this record and hopefully you can take something from it and learn a thing or two you didn’t know already.

there has been leisure time, and in this time I have stumbled upon a few great gems i’d like to share.I recommend going to see little miss sunshine, and also while you’re at it, pick up the soundtrack.Devotchka did some pretty amazing songs for this, especially the ones with Mychael Danna.Give it a shot.Ive also been listening to a record calledDon’t be afraid by the eastside sinfonietta, they cover weill, brecht, and eisler pieces here.(some of the most intriguing composers of the early 1900′s in my opinion) in ways that make me quite jealous. Also I am on a quest for two plays that Tom Waits wrote the scores for, one is called Alice, the other is called The Black Rider. I’ve been having a pretty difficult time finding out if the stage show was ever recorded. if you happen to know or find out i’d appreciate the help, it’s been driving me crazy. It’s now 4:18 a.m. and probably time for bed.goodnight all.

09.23.2006 – dont think twice its alright

tis 12:45 am, i am sitting in my hotel room in nyc getting ready for bed so i can catch an early flight home to chicago to visit my friends and family for another week before we embark on our fall tour. this summer went by so quick it seems, and fall is here to hang out. a lot happend this summer.. i played my first show with panic 4 months ago, and since then, i have made some of the best friends i could ever ask for, met some of the nicest people on the planet and visited numerous beautiful cities. i know ive said it before, but i really cannot explain how much it means to me that you all were so welcoming when i joined this band. i knew it was going to be a life changing experience, but i had no idea that i was walking into such a huge loving family, that includes the other 3 guys, everyone we work with and everyone who cares about this band, especially all of you reading this. i am so excited, along with the other guys, to start this fall tour. we cannot wait to see all your faces. believe me when i say this is just the beginning of p!atd. thank you, and sweet dreams.

were in france right now. we have a couple days left over here then we head back to the states to get prepared for the tour. im really excited to get some decent mexican food in me. i want to thank everyone who has hung out with us this past month in europe and australlia, we had an excellent time. everyone remember to bring your cameras on halloween to take pictures. i think for the october photo album i want to pick pictures of the 20 best costumes. since well be on an airplane i figure this is still one way to enjoy halloween. that and loads of candy. boatloads… the past 2 days i really havent done much so i think im going to make it a point today to accomplish something. something great. now i must go think of that thing to accomplish so have a good day. see you later!

hello family. i sit in the dressing room watching spencer play guitar hero, ryan sets up a chair for another day of his piano lessons. brendon is singing and talking to anyone who will listen, and im listening to music and writing you. its amazing. a few things have been bothering me, one of those is that i havent been able to watch the oc at all, im just going to have to sit this season out im thinking, unless you guys want to have weekly discussions on the live journal to keep me posted :) actually thats all that has been bothering me.

after this tour were going to start working on a new record. we are all really excited to sit down and begin the writting process. we have been throwing ideas around, its going to be a great mix between warm and cold. if you know what i mean.

So, as most of you know we have been on the nothing rhymes with circus tour for about a week now. This tour has come together so beautifully and is exactly what we had hoped for. Walking on stage each night and seeing everyone in the crowds eyes light up, and every ones mouths singing all the words is beyond description. We would like to thank every person who has come to any the shows so far. We hope you had as much fun as we did. And to all the people who will be seeing us in the near future, we can not wait for you to see the show we have put together.

11.26.2006 – no time for a title

the day is sunday. i sit in the bus awaiting soundcheck, cassie sits next to me suffering from an adorable cold and writing a paper for class. yea, she came on tour for a few days, it makes me smile. thanksgiving was also amazing. it felt so good to be in chicago, the show at UIC couldnt have gone any better (i love you chicago) and the next day i feasted with family like ive never feasted before. the past few days i have been full, sleepy, and excited. excited yes…. for sunday, today. tis the day i watch the chicago bears defeat the new england patriots to gain a 10-1 record. soundcheck, wendys, bears game, show, what a glorious day. i also bet zach 50 bucks the bears would win so if i am victorious, ill probably go back to wendys after the game. all these shows have been the best of our life, you guys are so amazing. that video about me on livejournal is pretty great, someone last night had a sign that said “we love jwalk” and that made me smile :) you all have no clue how much you mean to us. soundcheck awaits me though so, on behalf of myself, brendon, spencer, ryan and pornomime, we bid you farewell, and a happy sunday. go bears.

ladies and lads, jonathan j. walker here. long time no post.. ok so here is the run down,australlia, new zealand, europe, mexico, america. its all over. we have been on the road for the past 7 months (with myself in this band) and you all have made it the best shows/moments of our lives. its all over now, were going to take some time off to write a new record together. were extremely excited for you all to hear what we are going to create. we are going to performing in new york city on new years eve, so make sure to watch that. thank you all for sticking by us this year, next year is going to me 100 times more fun, trust me. check back for updates later on. miss you guys. love you as well. bye bye

01.07.2007 – dont you know that im toxic

we are alive. i hope you all enjoyed the holiday season. im at home right now, i just cleaned my room and played with dylan for a bit, i figured id check up on you guys, make your your behaving. whats new? im just pretty excited to still be able to hang with the flipflops during january in chicago. there are a few things i want to do while im home for the next couple of weeks, id tell you but if i fail to do them i feel like i’d be letting you down. as far as the photo album goes, ive been having some problems posting, as well as a lack of pictures to post. im sorry, it seems ive already let you down, gosh. please forgive me. oh well, ill think of some way to repair our friendship. maybe something sweet and chocolatey. sound good? ill be back later, you cant get rid of me that easy.

02.19.2007 – our weekend starts on wednesday

Either each of my fingers have been broken and bruised, or my computer fell into the ocean because its been way to long since this has happened. There have been many tacos consumed, and even more cups of black coffee poured down my throat. Maybe a glass or 2 of J.W. black, but who is counting, really.. The jukebox has been singing to the moonlight, who could ask for more? (theres a beautiful sky tonite) A couple showers a day to help pass the time and hair grazing my back makes me feel like I’ve got nowhere to be and every where to go. No more poker, no more snow, a few more movies and a lot more sleep. This makes too much sense. Oh yeah, withen the next couple weeks we will be living in a house together writing music, come by. I forgot how to use this thing it’s been so long.Guess you could say I’ve been hibernating for the past few months. I’ll be meeting up with everyone at the cabin in a few days to begin working on songs again. This record is going to be something very special to me, and I hope it is to all of you as well, I’ve got a few handfullsl of lyrics and a pinch of music started so far, should be interesting to see what happens.This is a love story.I’ve got a good feeling about this record, and we’re all very excited to be doing this again,plus it’s been a while since i’ve had some good s’mores.I’ll try to stay in touch a little better, but we don’t have internet out there in the wilderness…so we’ll see.

as i try on my new “music addicted” shirt and my new guitar hero hoodie, i can only feel grateful. for YOU. the fans. i just received a package full of bday letters, decks of cards with little notes, awesome pictures and artwork. i can definitely tell that a lot of hard work went into this amazing project. so, once again, thank you to those fine ladies that set this all up and to all the fans that contributed their time and effort into this project. i mean, if turning 20 is THIS good, i can’t wait for next year. :)

Behold, the forest is blooming. The new summer is approaching us. The water is warm, the air is crisp and the apples are fresh (and crisp as well). Three of me best mates and I are currently working on our new album in the far west regions of New America. I have the whiskey, one has new shoes, one has the moustache and one has the blues. I might have lost my mind but I have found my soul. You might have heard our songs but you haven’t heard our goals, world domination, beginning with the north and moving down along the map. 08.30.2007 – back home..

Just wanted to thank everybody over in Europe for showing us a great time as always. Decaydance Fest was great, and Reading made us feel very welcome once again. As much as we love it over there, we are very glad to be home continuing to work on the new record.

We also have 2 shows for you west coasters coming up soon. This Saturday September 1st we will be in Seattle for Bumbershoot and Saturday September 22nd we will be in San Diego for Street Scene. That might be it for the rest of the year, so pllease make sure to come out if you can and say hello!

11.03.2007 – the ones who never yawn

the last post was 5.17.07… that’s definitely my bad… maybe my laptop fell into the river one day while I was drifting in my wood boat under the sun catching up on some reading… and yes, I should’ve gotten it replaced or went to the community library to write you from there. maybe that didn’t happen but I know for a fact that I haven’t had an update in over 5 months.

a lot has happened since I last wrote… we spent some time in the Nevada Mountains, which was a really great experience for us. you might have seen some pictures. If not, find them, we look pretty funny. we were also in California doing some demos for the record, which was a good time for us because it was the first time we actually got to here what the songs we were writing sounded like.

now it is November, we are 6 tracks into recording our new album, and I couldn’t be more excited. I came home to Chicago for the weekend for my moms surprise party (happy birthday Mom Walker) and now I am getting on an airplane and going to finish this record with the boys. I do apologize for disappearing for so long, we have been putting all of our time and focus into writing for this album. we have not and will never forget about all of you who make this band what it is. be back soon.
