The Panic! At The Disco Fansite.

Sweet 16 voting closed on Tuesday night, which means that we’re into the Elite Eight round of the MTV News Musical March Madness tournament. Check out the summary of the Sweet 16 voting, check out our awesome hoops-centric photo gallery below and then ready your clicking fingers to cast your votes for the regional finals. Voting will close Thursday night (April 1) at 10 p.m. EST. We begin this round in the West, where the closest race of the tournament was decided at the eleventh hour.

(5) My Chemical Romance vs. (15) Panic! at the Disco
The Sweet 16 saw My Chemical Romance top 30 Seconds to Mars in an absolute barn burner. Jared Leto’s group jumped out to an early lead, but a late onslaught from MCR pushed them over the top, finishing a mere 300 votes ahead of their rivals. Meanwhile, Panic! at the Disco had an unexpectedly easy walk over former member Ryan Ross’ new group the Young Veins. Now two of the loudest and most intense fan bases left in the tournament square off for a place in the Final Four. Who will win?

The East bracket of the Sweet 16 is already in play, and now it’s time to move on to the West. Any of the bands left in this section of the tournament could win the whole thing, but only one will win the section and advance to the Final Four.

(14) The Young Veins vs. (15) Panic! at the Disco
This was inevitable. The two splintered sides of Panic! at the Disco meet in the Sweet 16, though Ryan Ross’ Young Veins had to stage a comeback against Weezer in order to get here. Panic! at the Disco have walked through the first two rounds, but will they be caught off-guard?

The NCAA basketball tournament resumes today with Sweet 16 action, but MTV News’ Musical March Madness continues in its second round. Today we visit the West and Midwest regions, with plenty of excellent head-to-heads featuring some high-powered bands. Let’s get to the action in the West!

(7) Death Cab for Cutie vs. (15) Panic! at the Disco
With the recent release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” on DVD, Death Cab for Cutie have received yet another surge of good will thanks to their excellent song “Meet Me on the Equinox” that was included on the film’s soundtrack. Meanwhile, Panic! at the Disco may be a bit off the radar working on new music but have proven they still have a galvanized and devoted group of fans. Who will come out on top in this intriguing tilt?

From MySpace…

It’s been brought to our attention that people on Facebook are pretending to be us and our crew. IT IS NOT. We heard that someone is saying we’ll be shooting a video in New Hampshire and are trying to get girls to be their tour guides. Guys, IT’S ALL FAKE. We have no plans to be in New Hampshire any time soon, and if we did, we’d tell you. Please don’t talk to these fakes, for your own safety.

A few weeks ago our forums vanished, that happened while I was on vacation but as soon as I heard about it I rushed to contact the host, Fanfilled.com (buddytv.com),  and see what was happening. They simply told me our content was purposefully taken offline and would be deleted within days. Their defense was telling me they emailed me (along with many other webmasters) two weeks prior to inform me of the upcoming change, which is not true because I had another domain hosted there and had never received one single message for neither of them.

Anyway, I kept in contact with them and the person was very nice and led me to believe everything would be solved. I said I would be back within two days and if they could just keep my files on their server until then I could transfer them elsewhere, once again reminding them I received no warning this was going to happen. They agreed and once I got back they told me to find a new host because my files would be deleted the next day, I rushed and within a couple of hours I emailed them back with the new information to where the forum should be transferred to. I have never heard from them again. I kept emailing them every other day until this past Friday and received no reply. Read the full article »
