Day 4

The river of Panic At the Disco’s cultural influences is vast and exhausting. Unfortunately so is time spent on the road. We were curious — what exactly occupies Panic during those long hauls between cities? So we asked them.

In 2005, a group of teenagers from Las Vegas caught the attention of Pete Wentz, the guylined Fall Out Boy bassist who moonlights as a record executive. With the release of their fantastical first album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, the band won raves from fans and critics alike.

After dropping an exclamation point and picking up a new band member, Panic At the Disco are back with Pretty. Odd.. Check out a behind-the-scenes look of the band recording their brand-new album, and come back on March 18th when VH1 will be streaming the disc an entire week before it’s release!

Atlantic Records were so paranoid that Panic At The Disco’s new album ‘Pretty. Odd’ would inevitably leak online that they literally only printed one hallowed copy in the UK. 1. We’re So Starving
A short intro track with a crescendo of lo-fi guitar and vocal that tempts you into the first full song. “You don’t have to worry, we’re still the same band” is the main lyric, and one that provides the first hint that the next 48 minutes will prove that Panic At The Disco are anything but.

2. Nine In The Afternoon
Current single and probably the most radio-friendly track on the album. If you haven’t heard it just listen to Xfm for more than ten minutes. Read the full article »

Despite their flustered title, Panic At The Disco (previously Panic! At The Disco) gave a quirky, controlled and charismatic performance last night at the Manchester Academy on Oxford Road.

With their mix of nostalgic, saloon styled tunes and new age techno-rock beats, Panic At The Disco showed they don’t need an “!” to turn heads and impress crowds.

The Las Vegas based foursome, Brendon, Ryan, Spencer and Jon, unleashed a show that would make their extrovert hometown extremely proud.

With the release of their second album Pretty. Odd. at large just after Easter (March 25), these relative newcomers to alternative rock are expected to give such bands as Fall Out Boy a run for their money. Read the full article »

Day 3

What kind of world do we live in where Panic At the Disco gets trumped by Hannah Montana? No world we wanna live in, that’s for sure.

In the first of today’s Eight Days of Panic video, Panic talks about getting the less-than-all-star treatment in the wake of Miley Cyrus at the Grammys.

In the second: “That Green Gentleman” and the note that started it all.
