Fall Out Boy has recently finished filming their latest music video for “The Takeover, The Breaks Over” — track in which Ryan and Chad Gilbert collaborate with a guitar solo — and contrary to reports, Ryan will not appear in the video. That’s the word straight from Panic! and FOB’s management.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump were interviewed by Popworld Pup magazine in order to clear up rumors and misconceptions people have of their band. One of the “rumors” is about Panic! At the Disco, below is what Pete and Patrick say about them.
Rumor – Panic!’s next album is going to make them bigger than you.
Pete:Definitely. I think it’s a distinct possibility. I’ve heard some songs. One was like a film score, then it turns into Beatles 2007. Everybody’s going to fall in love with it. They’ve got a hard road ahead of them because when you have that amount of success in a short amount of time, you have to repeat it or take a total nosedive.
Patrick: When I see Panic! now, it’s colossal. I remember the demo and Pete tapped me on the shoulder and said: “What do you think of this?” I said: “Hmm, it’s pretty good.” I’m a slow burner – it takes me a while. It wasn’t until I heard the first draft of the record and I was like, “Oh, right.”
Pete: I don’t think any of us expected they’d have that success. They’re like our kids, it’s awesome. But I think they would have gotten to where they’ve got regardless.

In celebration of Alternative Press’ 22nd Anniversary, the magazine compiled a list of 22 bands from AP’s past 11 years that will influence bands in the next 11 years. Panic! At the Disco made the list at #4 with My Chemical Romance topping it at #1.
01. My Chemical Romance
02. Motion City Soundtrack
03. The Faint
04. Panic! At the Disco
Sure, they got a ton of flack for their seemingly easy rise to the top, but this group of Vaudeville enthusiasts prove that success isn’t synonymous with struggle. Well, that and the fact that contortionists aren’t just for circuses anymore. Read the full article »
For those who wondered if we were ever going to get a new layout, it’s here! I hope you guys like the change.
I took the chance and updated a few things here and there throughout the site. Plus… I added the font used on Ryan’s tattoos for download, created a new page with videos of Jon’s appearances on TAI TV and the new record page has been revamped. Check them out.
If you look at the navigation menu you’ll find a new section for our site, it’s an articles/interviews archive called Panic! Press! (so clever, thank you). Everything since the website was opened can be found there as well as older stuff dating back to 2005, and I still have a lot more to add.
I guess that’s all for now… Thank you for visiting and supporting the site. It means a lot.
