The Panic! At The Disco Fansite.

I want to ask everyone who post comments here on the site to avoid arguments of any kind. A few days ago I was bombarded with emails complaining about posers and fights and had to delete all comments from two different news entries.

As for the band members and their girlfriends supposedly posting here, I can’t tell you it is or isn’t them, just use your common sense before replying. Or starting fights. A lot of you are younger, just remember to not post personal information in hopes any of the guys will contact you because they won’t.

Also, remember this is a feature to comment on the news posted not a message board to talk about random things.

If things continue how they are at the moment I might have to disable the feature. Thanks!

Panic at the Disco! are hard at work on the follow-up to their smash 2005 debut, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, according to their manager. The Vegas dandies have written eight songs so far for the yet-untitled album and are slated to start tracking the new tunes June 1. No release date has been set yet for the LP. — mtv.com

Rolling Stone‘s cameras caught up with Pete Wentz at the opening party of his new bar – Angels and Kings – in New York City. They gave us a glimpse of the drinks menu which includes a drink called Nails for Breakfast, Tacks for Snacks being sold for $10. This is the same bar Panic! At the Disco members tried to invest on but weren’t able to due to being underage.

The Smashing Pumpkins have been gone for seven years, but they’ve got a much-anticipated new album called Zeitgeist due in about two months. So what better time to pay tribute to Billy Corgan and company than … well, right now?

That’s the thinking behind an upcoming Pumpkins tribute project, spearheaded by MySpace and featuring acts like Panic! at the Disco, 30 Seconds to Mars, (+44) and the Academy Is … taking cracks at their favorite SP tracks.

According to a source at MySpace, the project (currently known as, uh, “The MySpace Smashing Pumpkins Tribute Project”) will launch on May 14, when each of the participating bands will post a Pumpkins cover on their respective MySpace pages. The songs will then be collected onto a CD, which will be included in newsstand editions of July’s Spin magazine (that issue will feature each of the bands talking about the Pumpkins’ influence on them).

And who exactly are those bands? Well, early reports linked My Chemical Romance to the project, but according to both MySpace and MCR’s management, the band has not contributed a song. MTV News’ source at MySpace provided a list of 12 of the participants plus the songs they’ve chosen to cover. Note: 30 Seconds to Mars haven’t announced their song yet — we know of no Pumpkins song called “(track TBD).”

Following up on the story we exclusively broke yesterday, more bands have been confirmed for the impending Smashing Pumpkins tribute. The Academy Is…, Deftones, Hawthorne Heights, 30 Seconds To Mars and more will all take a crack at covering Billy Corgan & Co.; however, we incorrectly reported that My Chemical Romance would be involved with the project. According to their management, they will not.

Each band will post their Pumpkins cover on their respective MySpace page May 14; the songs will then be compiled onto a CD and packaged with the July issue of Spin magazine. There is no word on a proper commercial release for the disc, nor is there an official title for the project. The currently confirmed participants are below.

[...] Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson and Jay-Z — plus almost everyone associated in any way with Fall Out Boy — descended upon New York’s East Village on Monday night to celebrate the opening of Angels & Kings, the new bar co-owned by Wentz and members of Gym Class Heroes, the Academy Is … and Cobra Starship (FOB’s labelmates Panic! at the Disco wanted to invest too, according to their management, but they weren’t old enough to legally own part of a bar). — MTV.com
