Panic! At the Disco to Perform at Summerfest 2007
May 18th, 2007 | filed in: Shows

A multiband package of Panic! At the Disco with Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is… and the Hush Sound will perform at the Marcus Amphitheater on July 7, filling one of the two remaining main stage openings for Summerfest 2007.

Theatrical flair and clever videos made the Vegas-area Panic! one of the hottest new bands for 2006. Its first single, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” went on to win MTV video of the year.

The single “Cupid’s Chokehold” by New York’s Gym Class Heroes is in Billboard’s top 10 on the Pop 100. Chicago’s punk-pop outfit The Academy Is… has been touring with Fall Out Boy on the Honda Civic Tour and reached No. 32 on the Billboard 200 with its recently released album, “Santi.”

Tickets are $42, $37 and $30 excluding service charges. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. May 26 at the amphitheater box office and at Ticketmaster outlets, (414) 276-4545 and www.ticketmaster.com. A limited number of free lawn seats will be available the day of the show.

Summerfest is June 28 through July 8 at Maier Festival Park (Milwaukee).
