Panic! At the Disco’s management confirmed to me the guys will not be appearing on The Simpsons Movie soundtrack. They don’t know where the tracklisting came from, but it’s incorrect.
It’s been rumored The Simpsons Movie soundtrack will include an original song called “I Will Kill You” recorded by Panic! At the Disco. So far nothing has been officially confirmed, but I’ll keep you updated if it turns out to be true. The soundtrack will be released on July 10, 2007.
Update: Confirmed not true.

While supplies last, everyone who orders any item from Panic! At the Disco in the webstore will also get a limited edition ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ 7″!
Panic!’s MySpace page was updated with the cover of Smashing Pumpkin’s “Tonight, Tonight”. It’s a live version of the song instead of – what we hoped would be – studio recorded. Check it out here. The song will be available on a Tribute CD in July’s issue of Spin magazine.
A multiband package of Panic! At the Disco with Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is… and the Hush Sound will perform at the Marcus Amphitheater on July 7, filling one of the two remaining main stage openings for Summerfest 2007.
Theatrical flair and clever videos made the Vegas-area Panic! one of the hottest new bands for 2006. Its first single, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” went on to win MTV video of the year.
The single “Cupid’s Chokehold” by New York’s Gym Class Heroes is in Billboard’s top 10 on the Pop 100. Chicago’s punk-pop outfit The Academy Is… has been touring with Fall Out Boy on the Honda Civic Tour and reached No. 32 on the Billboard 200 with its recently released album, “Santi.”
Tickets are $42, $37 and $30 excluding service charges. Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. May 26 at the amphitheater box office and at Ticketmaster outlets, (414) 276-4545 and www.ticketmaster.com. A limited number of free lawn seats will be available the day of the show.
Summerfest is June 28 through July 8 at Maier Festival Park (Milwaukee).

05.17.2007 – The moon is our pocket watch.
Behold, the forest is blooming. The new summer is approaching us. The water is warm, the air is crisp and the apples are fresh (and crisp as well). Three of me best mates and I are currently working on our new album in the far west regions of New America. I have the whiskey, one has new shoes, one has the moustache and one has the blues. I might have lost my mind but I have found my soul. You might have heard our songs but you haven’t heard our goals, world domination, beginning with the north and moving down along the map. Wait steadily, as you would on Christmas morning. Presents will come and breakfast is the best. If you understand this message then you figured out my phone number. Call me, we will make a plan.- Jonathan Jacob Walker – 09.17.1985
Rock Sound has a world exclusive as we have heard brand new music from Panic! At the Disco. Sort of. Maybe. Well, if we are being honest we have not. But we know a man who has. Seriously.
“I got sent some of the new Panic! demos the other day,” remarked Fall Out Boy bassist and rhetorician Pete Wentz during a recent meeting with the Sound. “I think it will be all over for anyone else in 2008 if this track is picked as the first single. It has the biggest hook I have ever heard.” Rock Sound pressed for a listen but Mr. Wentz would not crack and let our ears hear, but if Peter is to be believed it would appear the band are being highly productive as they rehearse away from the spotlight.
“Ryan (Ross, guitar) always likes to keep me guessing or try to freak me out with stuff,” Wentz added. “So he will message me to tell me that they have just written an amazing song and I will get excited then he will message me again to tell me it sounds like Aladdin and I will feel kind of bemused. Or last week he messaged me to say they had written a song that makes him think of France. He can say some weird stuff.”
